How many times have you started over on Monday?
I know I did about a million times. For years.
The problem is that starting over on Monday is a trap that keeps you stuck starting over on Monday – over and over again.
So if we keep having to start over on Monday and it obviously doesn’t work, why do we keep doing it?
Because, frankly, it feels good. That’s because:
- You get a pass for the rest of the week.
- You’ve been brainwashed to believe in the all-or-nothing, lottery-winning fairy tale that if you just muster up enough willpower, you’ll be able to change your body overnight.
Unfortunately, in the long run starting over on Monday makes you feel worse – because it leads to failure with a capital F.
It’s totally boring (but totally true) that all change starts in the mind.
