I remember (vaguely) some Fourth of July celebrations where I woke up on the 5th feeling like a total failure.
Not because I drank or ate too much . . . but because I intended not to – and threw all my good intentions out the window.
After all, the Fourth is the perfect excuse to “celebrate” all the hard work you did to look good in your bathing suit.
By eating and drinking your face off, right?
There’s literally nothing worse than going into a holiday intending to be “good” – and then failing miserably. And the over-celebrating just isn’t worth the disappointment you feel when you wake up the next day.
Intentions just don’t cut it (as you already know). What you need is a plan. And in this week’s video, I’ve got one for you.
I’m giving you three strategies to use this Fourth of July so you can wake up on the 5th feeling good about yourself that you took control – and stayed that way!
So if you don’t want to do this tomorrow . . .
- Spend the whole day drinking
- Mindlessly snack on cookies/brownies
- Go back for seconds (and thirds) because you already overdid it
- Dread waking up Wednesday feeling bloated, gross, and disappointed
And you’d rather do this . . .
- Enjoy some drinks without going overboard
- Having something sweet without feeling guilty
- Eat mindfully and stop when you’re full
- Know you’ll wake up Wednesday feeling proud that you didn’t blow it out
Then watch the video now!
The Fourth of July can easily turn into a health death spiral for the rest of the summer. But with some planning – and not that much effort – you can avoid that altogether!
