Sick of Starting Over on Monday? Think Long-Term, Not Short-Term

I recently read a book called Finding Ultra about a guy named Rich Roll, who went from an overweight, alcoholic, fast-food junkie to an ultramarathoner who’s now considered one of the fittest men on the planet (in his 50s!).

While he was training for his first ultramarathon, his trainer forced him to quit doing his balls-to-the wall workouts where he went all out and then collapsed. Instead, he made him go so slow as to practically be walking.

Rich was a fan of no pain, no gain. But the trainer told him he wouldn’t finish the race with that approach. He said that the slow-and-steady approach would help him build endurance and finish the race.

And guess what? It worked. Not only did Rich finish, he conditioned his body to the point that he started doing Ironman races – and winning them.

The point I’m making with this story is that the dieting approach is like Rich’s all-out workouts. It doesn’t work.

Dieting is like sprinting – you may see results, but they won’t last. If you want to get results that do last, you need to shift your perspective from short-term (dieting) to long-term (health).

But how do you do that? In this week’s video, I’m giving you 4 ways to make it happen.

Trust me when I say that mindset is everything. It’s not exciting to do the mental work – but it’s the only thing that does work.

And aren’t you sick of starting over on Monday – again and again and again?

Make sure to watch it so you can stop staying stuck and start moving forward – and getting the results you want.
